Mystery Plant

DaffodilsSpring abounds here at White Plains! Some of you might remember a post that I made at the end of March 2014 with a picture of a mysterious plant that had risen from the ground, just under the old Linden tree. Since then, I’ve had a few people ask what actually bloomed from this beautiful stalk.

Unfortunately, nothing ever did. It simply wilted over the following two weeks with no bloom at all. When I made the original post, I invited my friends to guess what they thought the bloom would be. With lots of good guesses, I’m hoping that we actually find out this year! Below is another picture as it currently looks. Any guesses?

Looks like a Lilly, no bloom, lack of sunlight?

M, I think you’re correct about the lack of sunlight. This is season two with no bloom. I think it will be time to move it to a better spot for next season. And then hopefully we will get to see it in full glory!
